His second race

Forest General (Harry)’s second race, is set for Sunday 6^th January 13:15 at Larkhill point-to-point racecourse off the A303 road 4 miles north of Amesbury, Wiltshire.

 

He has been entered into the Open Maiden race (Maiden meaning not won before) for 5 year olds and up.  There have been so many entries to this race it has been split into two.  Forest General is listed in the second of the two races at 13:15.  He will race over 3 miles, slightly longer than the 2.5 miles in his first race in November.  His jockey will be Martin McIntyre who also rode him in his first race and has been involved in his training.

The horse has recovered well from the first race.  According to his current trainer Sarah Gould, following this race he has been yet keener and more forward-going than before.
